Hip-Hop Barbie Nicki Minaj has recently unveiled an image showcasing her debut fragrance “Pink Friday” which will be coming out later in September. I love how the bottle embodies her signature style with the hot pink hair and lipstick. This combined with gold looks looks so cute! If I wasn’t sold already according to Nicki Minaj the perfume will “smell like angels playing”. Definitely very exciting.
Tribute to British Fashion Gets the gold - My favourite moment from the Olympic closing ceremony (besides the spice girls…) was when the beautiful & diverse models strutting their stuff to David Bowie’s “Fashion” in jaw-droppingly stunning metallic attire, recreating the imagery seen in the Midas Touch photoshoot from Vogue. I was one proud fashionista.
Lady Gaga looks amazing on the cover of the September issue of Vogue, wearing a fuchsia Marc Jacobs gown. The whole look is very luxurious and flamboyant with the exaggerated silhouette of the dress and the beautiful extravagant fur hat and really who can overlook her massive mane? Click here to see the behind the fun-loving scenes of the shoot. She is definitely as free as her hair!! Fab!
Goldrush! | Olympic Nail Art!
Currently the Olympics are going on and while I stay clueless to the sports aspect of it I do have to say I’m so surprised how much art and fashion has been incorporated into this olympics! I’m really impressed! Currently what seems to hot for both the athletes and supporters alike is the flaunting of the country’s flags on their fingers! Olympic nail art! Who knew? The amazing nail art was done by Sophie Robson and her team from the Nail Porn bar. How very patriotic! Would you try this out? I definitely might.
Lana Del H&M ??
Okay so I don’t really post much about music but I absolutely love music and one person I do love is Lana Del Ray. She’s relatively new on the scene and it was her song “Video Games” (which came out in summer 2011) that pushed her into stardom and she’s had a string of hits ever since. I don’t about you but love her album, it’s absolutely amazing and quite different to a lot of the stuff out nowadays.
Anyways music aside there has been recent reports that she’s going to be the new celebrity spokesmodel for H&M and apparently she’s shooting a New York campaign right now as I tell you this. If it’s true it’s pretty exciting, right? Well if you’re not familiar with Lana Del Ray’s unique fashion sense that goes with her amazing musical abilities (and you’d be crazy not to have noticed- just saying) then check out some pics below:
Her style is a sweet nostalgic vintage look updated with edgy modern references such as hip-hop gold jewellery and the occasional biker jacket. I really hope that she does colloborate with H&M because that would be a lot fun! Anyways here her newest song, National Anthem. The vintage visuals are absolutely stunning and I love the depiction of JFK (cameo by A$AP Rocky,) and the love story within it. Thrilling & Dramatic!

Goldrush! : Friendship Bracelets!
So what I’m currently loving AND seeing everywhere in the fashion world is friendship bracelets!! I absolutely love them. I love the fact that they are not just a fashion piece but they also have a cute meaning behind them- a symbol of friendship (awwww). Now me personally I just like how they look and I like to make them for myself (I’m totally not a loner….) but they definitely would make a cute handmade present for your friends; and well if you don’t really want to get yours hand dirty, you can always buy it… Regardless of how you get it here’s some of my faves below:

Louise Gray x Topshop
Topshop, one of the brands that is known for its many awesome collaborations is now planning to feature a capsule collection designed by Louise Gray which will include makeup as well as clothes. Now I’ll be honest, I hadn’t actually heard of Louise Gray before this (fail on my part) but looking through her collections I actually love her aesthetic. It’s very colourful, playful and there’s always an eclectic mix of textures within her collections. I love it! It’s very 80’s revival and I love the 80’s. To see what might be in store for the exciting Topshop collection, some images from her Autumn/Winter 2012-13 (Fall 2012) collection can be seen below:
I don’t know about you but I’m definitely excited.
Betsey Johnson Forever!
So about 3 weeks ago, around the time I last posted I found out that Betsey Johnson had filed for bankruptcy and would be closing the majority of her stores. It was definitely upsetting as I am a huge Betsey fan. One good thing coming out of this are however the sales that are currently going on in stores and online so if you a Betsey fan like I am support the brand and check it out. I’d also like to take this time to present some of my favourite collections.
