- William Makepeace Thackery, Vanity Fair 1948

Buried Treasure | Ashish S/S 2012
This collection is one of my favourite summer collections. I love the eclectic use of florals, flamboyantly juxtaposed against stripes, zebra print and sequins. Aside from how whimsical and playful this collection is I also like the traditional elements such as the slouchy trousers and baggy silhouettes that give the collection a romantic feel. The colour palette is vibrant and bright reflecting the essence of summer and the styling tops it all off. The dark, grungy make-up gives the collection an extra added edge and the blossoming boots further reflect both the romantic and edgy feel of this collection. Such a garden party!
