This week’s buried treasure is the ravishing collection of evening gowns by Marchesa for autumn/winter 2008-9. I absolutely love the dresses in this collection. They are the epitome of elegance with an Edwardian flair. I love the black lace fabric on the second dress from the left. It adds a regal gothic flair which is further complemented with the fur trimming around the hem. I really love the intricate cluster of organza flowers on the first and third dresses. It really makes the dresses more spectacular. On the fourth dress the black lace motif that starts just below the bust down to the knees clevers contrasts with the white luxury fabric. The fur just below tops it off perfectly adding more volume and a regal charm. Honestly when I was searching for what would be today’s buried treasure, as soon as I saw this collection my mouth dropped. I would have died and gone to heaven if I could own one of this dresses…. Ahhhh one day……
